Sophia Paape- Hello! My name is Sophia Paape and I am a current freshman at NHS. I plan on running for treasurer as well as secretary alongside my running mate, Ava Dunsirn. In the past, I’ve been involved in several leadership activities and organizations: Student Council, Project Unify (working with kids with disabilities), and BLAST (a leadership organization). Also, I’ve tutored kids in math and volunteered at countless events such as Feed My Starving Children. In the coming year, my running mate and I plan to bring new and creative ideas to Key Club to help grow the organization. For example, we aim to improve the method of signing up for volunteer opportunities. We would love to be involved in the future Key Club board for the 2019-2020 school year!
Ava Dunsirn- Hello, my name is Ava Dunsirn and I will be a future sophomore at NHS. I plan on running for secretary and treasurer with my running mate, Sophia Paape. I have been involved in leadership activities in the past such as teaching children tennis on a weekly basis, BLAST, and I also did many hours of outreach for my youth ballet company to spread and educate the arts to children. For next year, my running mate and I plan on improving the way you sign up for Key Club opportunities. We would love to be your future co-secretaries or treasurers for the 2019-2020 school year.
Destinee- Hi my name is Destinee Ramos and I am currently a freshman here at Neenah High School. Volunteering has always appealed to me, as I was involved in the Shattuck Service Club and have been volunteering throughout the community since I was young. A unique quality I would bring to the Key Club board is my experience with various leadership programs and the knowledge I have gained from them. I am currently serving as Fuel Up to Play 60 student ambassador and through this program, I have gained many amazing leadership skills that I believe could help Key Club grow and take on a bigger leadership role in our community. Some initiatives I have in mind for next year would include a homework help night where Key Club members could help elementary/middle school kids with their homework, volunteering at the local food pantry’s monthly community dinner, helping elementary schools plant gardens, and offering to do various activities at retirement homes such as cookie decorating, talent night, and a senior citizen ‘prom’.
